While it is easy to install and run a modern PC these days, it can be
hard to secure it against attacks. Some of the techniques described
here are linux-specific, but most of them are a 'lifestyle of security'
which is mostly platform independent.

PIN is. Don't tell ANYBODY your PIN, ever." - That was the most
important statement on the envelope which contained my first bank-card
that was able to operate ATMs. I still go by that. Even with PCs.


[[Secure passwords|Secure passwords]] - "O@R-V-Mmbctta!+1#" might be a secure password. It contains upper
and lower case letters. It contains special characters (@!-+#). It
contains a number. But how on earth shall I remember this?
