OpenPGP on Evolution
Evolution supports OpenPGP. It does not manage keys like Enigmail does for Thunderbird; so you will need to use Gnupg by command line or get Seahorse or similar Key Manager.
- Edit your Email account Preferences to use OpenPGP
- Select Edit/Preferences
- Highlight the account name and select Edit
- Enter your key ID including the leading ‘0x’ The ID is 8 digits.
- Choose to always sign if you wish that. Other choices are there as well.
- Send your message
- You will be asked for your passphrase. That is the one you used to create your key. You can choose to remember it for the entire session on Evolution which is handy.
- Verify keys on incoming mail

There are many ways to contribute: You can answer questions on the Forum, you can write a complete tutorial or just a step-by-step documentation on how you completed a specific task using linux. Ask questions if the information on this site is not clear, tell us if we got something wrong, spell-check our writings, whatever.
